Not too much time to blog right now, but just had to mention this little tidbit.
Just about finished with my third semester of college. After earning over half the credits needed for an Associates (but I'm going for my Bachelor's, so a third of the way through with my self-inflicted expensive torture!), I am horrified that I will be getting the same degree as some of the boneheads in my class.
Can I request that the dean put an extra stamp on my degree that says, "Knows the difference between their, there, and they're?" Because a college degree is not a guarantee that the degree-holder knows that.

Amazing, isn't it, the "significance" of a college education. Amazing, too, who and what they let "graduate" from college. If my husband ever drafted a year-end accounting document and it went to the board and the SEC with "their/there/they're" confused, he'd be fired. Aaaaaah, the standards of today's educational institutions........
PS...what's your schedule looking like these days???
