Devastatingly, I'm setting it aside... to breathe... to allow it to breathe... and so I can forget everything about it and come back at it with fresh eyes in a few weeks.
I've spoken with a few of my readers about glancing through my manuscript with your red pens.
I've decided that even though it is terrifying to have people read this, I need to have feedback.
What I'm looking for is a handful of
I'm hoping to find people willing to read this in around a week. It seems silly to put restrictions on a favor, but if it's a chore to read these eight chapters in a week, then it's time to scrap this project. This way, also, it stays fresh and fragrant in your minds.
So, any takers? Anyone with a week to kill with a red pen? Anyone out there who hates me and wants to tear down my wall of self-esteem with their hurtful criticism? Now's the time!

I'm in.
Me too.
I would be happy to read for you if you are still looking for people. :)
I'm e-mailing all of you...
I'd be glad to. I used to be an editor, if that interests you at all.
Check...and...send.
SWEEEEET!
You don't know me, but I found your blog through Kate Daly, and I have been a faithful reader. I was an English teacher at Lehi High and had Kate and Reilly in my Creative Writing classes--you can ask them about me, and maybe they'll tell you a story about a hicky...
Anyway. I would love to read your manuscript if you're still looking for an objective reader that doesn't have a lot of attachment and can be truly objective. And I have been wielding a red pen every day for the last seven years. It would be refreshing to read something that actually uses commas and paragraphs. If you're still interested, my email is sbingham@alpinedistrict.org
