You know how growing up, the DARE officers would talk about peer pressure and smoking? They'd talk about how you might want to smoke a cigarette so you'd look cool?
They were talking directly to me. Luckily, I never took up smoking because the idea of damaging my lungs and throat (tools of a singer, you know) was too much for me.
However, I am still swayed by the charm one can instantly gain just by holding a cigarette. There's something inherently sexy and dangerous about a smoker--until I see your teeth, of course, so it's really only an attraction in theory.
I mostly would just like people who aren't actually smokers but who pose for photos while holding one.
So if you ever see me on an album cover holding a cigarette (a Virginia Slim, I already have one chosen), remain assured I am not actually smoking. I'm just a poser.
