My first semester of college is finished. At the end of two and a half months, my only regret is that I thought this would be a waste of time, and thus put it off for five years.
In each of my two classes, I have a little over 100 percent. Yes, I was that student, the annoying one constantly turning in extra credit opportunities and raising her hand after every question.
And I'm freaking proud.
Comments from my professors:
"You add a great deal to our class."
"I appreciate your comments and your contributions as a student. Thank you for your efforts and insights."
"Your extra efforts are outstanding. Thank you."
"You are a delight to have in the class."
"This was the best paper I've ever received (in the nine years I've been teaching this class). I've really enjoyed having you in the class, Lindsay. You're an amazingly talented and intelligent person."
"You're a writer with a real gift, Lindsay. I'm going to watch for your name out there--right along with the Millers of this world. Don't give up! You've got a lot of courage and some real talent."
I cannot wait for next semester.
