I'm Her: Luna Lovegood

What you may not know about me (or believe about me) is that even though I dress like a twelve year-old lumberjack most of the time, I really enjoy fashion. I don't necessarily pull off every item of clothing (hello 34DDD), but I love clothes, love outfits, and love how my sister Hannah can take ten bucks to a thrift shop and make an amazing, one-of-a-kind look.
I've been wanting to somehow do a fashion section on my blog, but something has stopped me. Call it fear, call it what you will--but in an attempt to truly continue to evolve, I am doing what I want.
It's my blog.
I am definitely not good at this. For further proof of that, come look in my closet. But it's just for fun.
One of my favorite things to do as a child was to blurt out, "I'm her!" about any Disney character or cartoon girl I thought was beautiful. Hannah and I made it a competition. "I'm her!" "Then I'm her!" "No, you're her." "Okay, then I get to be her."
So, I proudly present... the "I'm Her" series. Taking inspiration from my favorite characters in movies, books, and real life, I am piecing together outfits using Polyvore, a fantastic fashion/accessory website that lets you make murals.

Today, I am showing you Luna Lovegood.

Now, this character from the Harry Potter books and movies is a little wacko, and it shows up in her wardrobe choices. Even though she's attending school, she manages to make it all work. I wish I could pull off this mixture of bright colors, patterns, and random objects for jewelry.
