And I found it.
That moment when clarity strikes, clicks together like a second-hand ticking to the new hour.
It's with a song playing, acoustic guitar distorted in a makeshift cabin recording studio.
It's with traffic flowing past like currents in a stream.
It's with nutty, roasted coffee in a cup with cream, hanging, suspended.
It's with a phone that respectfully stays silent, because friends and family understand my need for space.
It's with a thousand words to say and no one hushing me.
It's with a heart full of gratitude.
I found Avalon tonight at Starbucks. Here's hoping I come across it again soon--maybe in the pool at the gym, maybe in my bed at 6 AM when Finley crawls across me to get to her Dr. Seuss, maybe in the middle of a lecture.
This is all I want to do for the rest of my life, live perfect moments in different disguises.

I am searching for those moments too ... life is too short not to.
