In literature, we learn about a phrase called "deux ex machina," which translates to "god out of the machine." A deux ex machina is a plot device used in books to lift the characters out of their plights suddenly and abruptly.
A savior from nowhere, completely unexpected, and the story is over.
Of course, life doesn't work like that, no matter what kind of pickle you are in.
These are treacherous waters I swim in this week--I wish I could be more specific, but I won't be... yet. This week I get to be my own savior, but I just had to ask:
Does anyone have a deux ex machina I could borrow, just for a few days?
