Fan Letter

Hey, all you other bloggers. Hey, all you readers. Hey, friends. Just wanted to say thanks for reading. Thanks for caring. Thanks for being you.
I don't post a lot of comments on the things you write. I should, but I don't because my lame excuse is Google Reader. It saves time so I can read all your brilliant things, but you can't make comments through Google Reader.
Just know that I feel empowered knowing that things I write are read. There's so many weak reasons I could knit up for not being my best:
I'm not that good
I'm busy
I'm lazy
I'm unoriginal
My story's uninteresting
I'm uninteresting
All of them equally ridiculous. I think every writer's been there: buying new notebooks, writing in one page, tearing it out, writing in it again, tearing it out, because whatever you wrote wasn't worthy enough to stay in the book.
Well, I feel worthy. I work every day on ideas, collaborations, songs, visions, trying to get them onto the page the same way I see them in my mind. My creativity works in a web formation--a painting sets me off, then a movie line pops in my head and turns into a song lyric. I'm churning constantly, writing constantly, creating constantly...

And you all inspire me. So even though I don't always comment, I read your things and I think you're all fantastic.

P.S. To the anonymous commenter who is working in clinical psychology in the sexology field--can I know who you are?
