Found a piece of chocolate smudged on Finley's chin underneath her binky. My first thoughts were, "You are so my child." I giggled at the thought of her coming out with a chocolate craving equivilent to mine and the image of the two of us devouring every smidgeon of chocolate in sight, pillaging grocery stores and depleting Kneaders of their brownies (they do a buy 5, get 1 free with their brownies and sometimes I can't resist).
Then I realized that earlier, when I was going Godzilla on an old stale chocolate chip cookie because I was DESPERATE for chocolate, a piece fell onto her face and I smashed it into her skin with her binky without realizing it, because my attention was turned to quenching my chocolate thirst. So, no, she has not been eating chocolate (well, proxy through breast milk).
But damn. Damn. I thought pregnancy hunger was bad. Breastfeeding hunger? Entirely different, because there are no cravings to narrow the field. I will eat ALL of ANYTHING. All day. I have five breakfasts, one for every time I wake up and feed her. As I am eating something, I am looking forward to the next time I get to eat. When she falls asleep, I'm excited because it means I GET TO EAT AGAIN!
My boobs are hungry.
