Really Deep Thoughts
I can't understand an education system that allows students who don't know the difference between there, their, and they're to get a 4.0 GPA. Yes, I judge you on your grammar, punctuation, and overall English skills. Go ahead and judge me on my fashion skills, that's only fair.

What year are you? I agree that many people aren’t as English literate as you, but that doesn’t make them complete lack-wits. They might be fantastic mathematicians, or they’re experts in Laban Movement Analysis, or they’re able to tell you where your Iliopsoas is and its function. It drives me crazy as well when people don’t understand fundamental English, but not everyone is an English Major, and thus they’re not earning their “4.0 GPA” based solely on their English skills.
